What is 3D Casting?

The 3D casting sessions involve creating casts impressions of your baby’s hand or foot. We use a premium non-toxic seaweed-based impression powder called Alginate. Alginate powder is safe for sensitive, delicate skin and is commonly used in the dental industry for its rapid setting properties, allowing for detailed casts.
The powder sets within a couple of minutes.
The casting sessions typically last between 45minutes to an hour. It depends on the number of casts being taken.

Can we promise a good finish?

100% Yes. Our first priority after the moulds are taken and the premium stone is added is to check when unmoulding if everything is taken properly. If for whatever reason the impression has not come out right, we would contact you to rearrange another appointment as soon as possible.

What happens if I don’t want a fist?

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee what the mould will be like. If you would not like a baby fist/clenched as a cast, we would highly recommend the 2D Raised Impressions.

What age can I get casting done?

Casting can be done at any age. It is a memory for a lifetime.

How long does it take for completion?

Our turnaround time is usually 6- 8 Weeks. This can vary during busier times. The drying of the casts is very crucial to ensure the mould does dry properly. The finish will include the complete keepsake.

How does payment work?

Payment is broken into two parts. £50.00 is non refundable deposit that is taken at the time of booking. The rest of the balance is paid before the collection/ delivery of the final product.
